WHEN TO USE IT:
Spring, Summer with little and/or no brood.
- Glycerol: improves the performance of oxalic acid
- Allowed in organic beekeeping
ADVANTAGES OF GLYCEROL:
- High hygroscopic action, so the oxalic acid solution remains hydrated for longer, increasing the contact eith the bees;
- no HMF;
- works also in conditions of low relative humidity (Milani 2001).
